2024 Cadillac CT5 | Performance Columbus in Columbus, OHThe 2024 Cadillac CT5 epitomizes style, luxury, and comfort. It also includes a range of safety systems and alerts that protect you and your passengers. We will take a closer look at some of these features and how they work.

Front Pedestrian Braking

This system uses a camera to watch for pedestrians who might step onto the road in front of your Cadillac. It operates at speeds between 5 mph and 50 mph and provides visual and audio alerts if it identifies a collision risk. The system will engage emergency braking, if needed, to bring your vehicle to a stop and prevent an accident.

Forward Collision Alert

This feature uses radar to identify any vehicle ahead of you. If a vehicle is detected, it assesses its speed and distance from your front bumper. If an accident is possible, it provides audio and visual alerts to warn you so you can take action and prevent a collision.

Automatic Emergency Braking

This braking system is active when your vehicle speed exceeds 5 mph, and it works on roads and highways. If a collision alert has been triggered, and you aren’t able to react fast enough, it will engage hard braking to prevent an accident or reduce its severity.

Safety Alert Seat

If an accident is imminent, the seats in line with the direction of impact will vibrate as a warning to prepare for impact. The system can also provide beeping warnings.

Rear Parking Assist

When you shift into reverse, sensors located in the rear scan the area directly behind you for vehicles or other solid objects.  It provides a distance alert if any objects are detected. The warning tone rises in tempo as you get closer to the vehicle or object. This alert enables you to brake or shift into drive and move forward.

HD Rear Vision Camera

This feature makes reversing easier and safer than ever. When you reverse, this rear camera provides a digital view of the area directly behind you. It displays an overlap of where your vehicle is going so you can assess this and make corrections if necessary.

Lane Change Alert with Side Blind-Zone Alert

Changing lanes on the highway makes many drivers nervous, as it’s impossible to see everything around you. Any vehicle approaching in the adjacent lane you’re shifting to could be hidden in a blind spot. Sensors around your Cadillac monitor all possible blind spots and continually scan for vehicles.
If a vehicle enters sensor range, a warning tone sounds, and a car and a star icon appear on the side mirror of the detected side. This gives you the chance to turn away or brake in order to prevent an accident.
