A New Trim Level
With the 2020 RAV4, you can choose from 10 trims: LE, LE Hybrid, XLE, XLE Hybrid, XLE Premium, Adventure, TRD Off-Road, XSE Hybrid, Limited, and Limited Hybrid. The TRD Off-Road is all-new, and it has the same 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine as the base LE. It generates 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and it comes with sport, eco-, and normal driving modes. It uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. Active cornering assistance increases maneuverability, and the TRD Off-Road adds all-wheel drive, downhill assist control, an engine oil cooler, and 3 different modes: mud and sand, rock and dirt, and snow.
The LE and the TRD Off-Road also come with an independent suspension, power steering, a rear spoiler, privacy glass, black roof rails with optional crossbars, and automatic high beams. Splash guards are optional. While the LE can carry 1,240 pounds and tow 1,500 pounds, the TRD Off-Road can haul 1,050 pounds and pull 3,500 pounds.
The TRD Off-Road adds 18-inch wheels, fog lights, black TRD Off-Road badges, a power moonroof, active grille shutters, and folding black heated side mirrors with turn signals and blind spot indicators. It has 8.6 inches of ground clearance compared to 8.4 inches for most trim levels.
A Comfortable, Advanced Interior
This SUV comes with a 7-inch touch screen, a 4.2-inch digital information display behind the steering wheel, keyless entry, folding rear seats, and a dust and pollen filter. It also has voice recognition, controls on the steering wheel, a Wi-Fi hot spot, eight cup holders, a USB port, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. There’s an overhead console for your sunglasses as well! New features include SiriusXM satellite radio and Android Auto.
The TRD Off-Road has an 8-inch touch screen, a 7-inch digital information display, a rear cargo cover and storage net, four USB charging ports, a 120-volt power outlet, and attractive red accents on the seats, doors, and dash. Additional options include heated and cooled seats, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, an 8-inch touch screen, push-button start, and wireless charging. You can also choose dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, or orange, blue, or dark brown accents.
Excellent Safety
The 2020 RAV4 comes with a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, forward-collision warning, lane departure warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. The advanced front airbags work at different speeds in varying conditions for better protection, and you can add rear cross-traffic alert, a panoramic backup camera, a 360-degree camera system, and a security system.
