2020 Toyota Tacoma

The 2020 Toyota Tacoma comes in six different trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, and TDR Pro. The SR trim is the entry-level model and comes with 16-inch wheels, a composite bed that requires no bed liner, and the option of an extended cab or crew cab. The SR5 is a step up from the SR with a chrome exterior trim and the option of a long-wheelbase version with the crew cab. The TRD Sport is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, a hood scoop, and body-colored rear bumper and fender flares. The TRD Off-Road includes everything on the TRD Sport with the addition of black fender flares and a chrome rear bumper.

The Limited trim comes with 18-inch wheels and all of the features included with the TRD Off-Road and Sport trims. The TRD Pro is the top-tier option and boasts LED headlights, all-terrain tires, a black grille, and sits at an inch higher than other trims levels.

The 2020 Tacoma is available with two powertrain options. The first option is the 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine that gives you 159 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with an automatic 6-speed transmission. The second engine option is the 3.5-liter V-6 engine with direct-injection. This engine is the best choice for maximum power and can tow up to 6,800 lbs and offers 278 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque.

Most Tacoma trims are at their best in the city. For off-roading, you'll want to go with the TDR Off-Road or Pro trims which boast a TRD-tuned suspension and 2.5-inch FOX internal bypass shocks. The Crawl Control (CRAWL) feature automatically modulates the throttle and brakes to adapt to any terrain and the standard electronically controlled locking rear differential ensures the engine power is evenly distributed to the rear wheels for extra grip.

This Tacoma model is packed with available interior technology options, including Wi-Fi Connect, Destination Assist to ensure you get to your destination with ease, and Remote Connect so you can access vehicle capabilities such as starting and stopping your engine from your smartphone. The 2020 Tacoma also has a power-adjustable driver's seat, a larger infotainment screen than previous models, and a forward and side-looking camera system.

This Toyota offers several standard safety features that include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection to prevent collision with walkers, automatic high-beam control to keep your headlights from distracting other drivers, lane departure warning to alert you when you're drifting into another lane without a turn signal, and a driver drowsiness warning system that goes off when the car senses driver fatigue.
