2021 GMC Canyon

For 2021, the GMC Canyon is offered in Elevation Standard, Elevation, AT4 Cloth, AT4 Leather, and Denali trim levels. You can choose an extended cab with a long bed or a spacious crew cab with a long or short bed.

The Elevation Standard trim offers black trim, daytime running lights, 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, cab-mounted cargo lamps, and a corner step rear bumper. Elevation models add LED fog lights, body-color door handles and heated power mirrors, a sliding rear window, and a remote locking EZ-Lift and Lower tailgate.

The off-road-oriented AT4 features a unique black chrome grille, 17-inch wheels with 31-inch all-terrain tires, and skid plates. Stepping up to the Denali gets you a bright chrome grille, chrome side steps, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, chrome door handles and mirrors, LED cargo box lighting, and a spray-in bed liner.

Both Elevation models feature a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

Standard in the AT4 and Denali models is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque via an eight-speed automatic transmission. An available 2.8-liter turbo diesel produces 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque and is matched with a six-speed automatic.

Depending on your Canyon's configuration, it offers a payload of up to 1,578 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. When your work or adventures take you off-road, four-wheel drive comes standard for the AT4 and as an option for other trims. For optimum off-road and towing performance, four-wheel-drive models feature a two-speed transfer case, an automatic locking rear differential, hitch guidance, and tow/haul mode.

Inside the Canyon Elevation Standard's stylish and contemporary cabin, you'll find cloth seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, a 3.5-inch driver information center, and air conditioning. The infotainment system features a 7-inch touch screen, Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability, two front USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio.

Elevation trim offers keyless entry and remote start, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a tilt and telescoping steering column, an 8-inch touch screen, and two rear USB ports.

The AT4 Cloth features heated front seats, while the AT4 Leather trim adds leather upholstery, a 4.2-inch driver information center, a heated steering wheel, and an HD radio. The top-of-the-range Denali has ventilated front seats, a navigation system, a premium Bose seven-speaker sound system, an auxiliary input, and an SD card reader.

The Canyon's standard safety features include electronic stability control with traction control, a rear vision camera, teen driver settings, a tire pressure monitoring system, and tire fill alert. The AT4 Leather trim adds an HD rear vision camera and rear parking sensors. The Denali trim offers forward collision alert and lane departure warning.
