Trim Levels
For 2025, Honda's Civic lineup consists of seven models: the LX sedan, Sport sedan and hatchback, Sport Hybrid sedan and hatchback, and the Sport Touring sedan and hatchback. All models have new front bumpers with slim air curtains replacing fog lamp areas, a larger honeycomb grille, and smoked taillights creating a bold road presence.
Each trim level has distinct visual elements that set it apart — the LX rides on 16-inch wheels with 215/55 tires and the Sport upgrades to 17-inch wheels with 215/50 tires. The Sport Hybrid and Touring variants feature 18-inch wheels with 235/40 tires, blacked-out side mirrors, and shark fin antennae. With seven color options available, customizing is easy.
Engine
There are two powertrain options available for the 2025 Civic. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 150 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 133 pound-feet of torque powers the LX and Sport variants, making them economical yet peppy enough for daily driving.
The Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid combine the 2.0-liter engine with twin electric motors to create 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 50 hp and 99 pound-feet of torque over the standard setup. This dual-motor configuration provides smooth, consistent power delivery without delay or transition gaps.
Performance
The 2025 Civic has impressive acceleration. The Sport attains 0 to 60 mph in 8.9 seconds, while the Sport Hybrid manages 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, a 2.7-second gain you'll appreciate during highway merges and passing maneuvers.
Sport Touring Hybrid models offer four driving modes — Econ, Normal, Sport, and Individual. Honda's Linear Shift Control system cleverly mimics traditional transmission feel by coordinating engine sound and power delivery in distinct stages, combining hybrid efficiency with the familiar sensation of gear shifts.
Interior
The new Civic cabin impresses at first glance. The LX and Sport variants feature a seven-inch digital display with an analog speedometer and a 7-inch infotainment touch-screen system. The Sport Touring Hybrid has a 10.2-inch fully digital cluster and a 9-inch touch-screen with Google built-in.
All trims offer wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and leather-wrapped steering wheels. Hybrid models add wireless charging pads, and the Sport Hybrid adds leather and suede seats with red stitching, while the Sport Touring Hybrid's 12-speaker Bose system makes music shine. For cargo, the sedan offers 14.8 cubic feet of trunk space, while the hatchback provides 24.5 cubic feet, almost 10 cubic feet more than its sedan counterpart.
Safety Features
The Honda Sensing package, your co-pilot, is standard in the 2025 Honda Civic. It features tech such as the brand's Collision Mitigation Braking System, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist. Road departure mitigation and traffic sign recognition help keep you on the straight and narrow.
The Sport and above trims get Honda's LaneWatch blind spot camera. The camera shows your blind spot on the center screen and can see vehicles up to 82 feet behind you, adjusting according to your speed. All Civics also include a multiangle backup camera that gives you several different viewpoints when backing up — ideal for squeezing into tight parking spots.
