2025 Honda Pilot: Discover the Future of Performance and Versatility
Trim Levels
For 2025, the Honda Pilot lineup includes six trims: the Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, Elite, and Black Edition. The Sport rides on 20-inch Shark Gray alloys with black lug nuts, which the EX-L swaps out for 18-inch machine-finished wheels with Pewter Gray inserts and chrome lug nuts.
The TrailSport sits an inch higher on 18-inch Shark Gray alloys with trim-exclusive logos and black lug nuts wrapped in all-terrain tires. It's also equipped with underbody skid plates. Touring and Elite trim levels come with 20-inch machine-finished alloys with Shark Gray inserts, while the Black Edition has distinctive 20-inch gloss black wheels with matching lug nuts. The TrailSport and higher have a one-touch power panoramic moonroof, and all but the EX-L feature gloss black roof rails.
Engine
Performance
The Pilot TrailSport accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.9 seconds, and the Elite achieves the same feat in 7.2 seconds — impressive for a family SUV. Towing capacity varies by drivetrain. When properly equipped, AWD models pull up to 5,000 pounds, and FWD versions handle 3,500 pounds.
Selectable drive modes customize your driving experience. Normal suits daily trips, ECON saves fuel, and Snow provides winter stability. Sport mode sharpens throttle response when you need extra zip, while the Tow setting adjusts transmission settings when pulling a trailer. AWD models add Trail and Sand modes for off-road adventures. The TrailSport excels off the beaten path with its lifted suspension and specialized tires.
Interior
Most 2025 Pilot trims seat eight people comfortably. The TrailSport swaps the second-row bench for captain's chairs, dropping the capacity to seven. Cargo space is flexible, with 18.6-22.4 cubic feet behind the third row, 48.5-60.1 cubic feet behind the second, and 86.5-113.7 cubic feet with all rear seats down.
Tech-wise, the Pilot impresses. The EX-L and higher up get a 9-inch color touch-screen, while the Sport has a 7-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is standard, with wireless connectivity in all but the base model. Touring and higher trim levels boast a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system. Leather seats start at EX-L, and every model has heated front seats. The Elite and Black Edition add ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats.
