2025 Jeep Wrangler: The Icon of Adventure, Now More Powerful Than Ever
Trim Levels
For the 2025 model year, the Jeep Wrangler is offered in six trims: the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara, Rubicon, and Rubicon X. The legendary seven-slot grille appears on every model, nodding to Jeep heritage while giving the Wrangler its tough identity. Each version of the vehicle has its own character, from the straightforward Sport's practical design to more specialized options.
The Willys trim stands out with its bold presence, sporting 33-inch off-road tires and bright LED lighting. Willys two-door models equipped with the 35-inch tire package deliver best-in-class breakover angles, tackling terrain that other four-wheel drives can't. Rubicon models mean business, with rock rails and steel bumpers built for trail domination. All Wranglers let you remove the roof and doors, while the Rubicon X comes with a three-piece Freedom Top hardtop for greater flexibility.
Engine
The 2025 Wrangler offers two capable engines. The 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 — standard in the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Rubicon, and Rubicon X — delivers 285 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 260 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. It works with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Sahara features the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, generating 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Available across all trims but paired only with the eight-speed automatic, this engine excels with strong low-end torque for both trail crawling and highway driving.
Performance
The 2025 Wrangler backs up its rugged looks with impressive performance. The two-door Sport with V-6 and manual hits 60 mph in just 6.1 seconds, while the four-door Sahara with turbo power follows at 6.5 seconds. Both engines can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped — perfect for hauling camping gear or small trailers.
Four-wheel drive (4WD) comes standard on all models. Base trims use a capable part-time system, with full-time 4WD optional for varying conditions. Willys and Rubicon add an Off-Road Plus driving mode to master rough terrain. The Rubicon's 4:1 Rock-Trac 4WD system conquers trails that would defeat lesser vehicles, allowing confident crawling over challenging obstacles.
Interior
The 2025 Wrangler's cabin blends ruggedness with comfort. An available 12.3-inch touchscreen with intuitive controls dominates the dash, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keep you connected across all models. An available 7-inch digital gauge cluster makes driving stats easy to read.
The four-door models offer best-in-class rear legroom. Standard cloth seats are ready for outdoor adventures, with leather options available if you want extra luxury. Higher trims come with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel for your comfort during winter drives. The Rubicon X features an Alpine premium sound system that delivers exceptional audio.
Safety Features
Jeep packed the 2025 Wrangler with over 85 standard and available safety features, showing they're serious about keeping you and your crew protected. The available adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go maintains a safe gap between you and the car ahead. If someone stops suddenly, the available forward collision warning with active braking can help prevent or mitigate a fender bender.
When you're changing lanes, the available blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection acts like an extra set of eyes, alerting you to vehicles outside your line of sight. Parking in tight spots gets easier too, thanks to the available ParkSense Rear Park Assist system. Night driving feels safer with the adaptive headlamps that adjust their beam based on your driving situation. And underpinning all these high-tech helpers is something much more fundamental — a high-strength steel frame that forms a protective cocoon around everyone onboard.
