Basics About the 2021 Compass

The Jeep Compass is a compact crossover SUV that first came out in 2006 and is currently in its second generation. The 2021 Compass came out in late 2020 and has received praise for its comfortable ride for passengers, exterior style, interior design, and thrilling performance. It is a push-button start with many high-quality tech features that come standard on this vehicle.
It is a 4-door vehicle that seats 5 comfortably. It gets an estimated 31 miles per gallon on the highway and 22 in the city.

Trims

The 2021 Compass lineup comes with four basic trim levels and three special trims based upon the basic ones. The base trims are the Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. The Sport is the most basic version while the Trailhawk is the most advanced and considered the best off-road compact SUV on the market.
Within those four base trim levels, there are an additional three variations, which bring the total to seven. The Latitude comes with two unique spins, the Altitude and 80th Anniversary Edition trims. There’s also the Freedom trim available as a part of Jeep’s efforts with the USO to honor the United States active-duty service members.

Pricing

The Sport trim is the cheapest; from there each one increases slightly in price with the Trailhawk being the most expensive. The option to make it four-wheel drive is available for every trim except the Freedom and Trailhawk (which are only available in a four-wheel-drive) and costs an extra $1,500. For about $2,000 there is a Sun and Sound Group package available that adds a sunroof and high-quality speaker system. This option is available for every version of the 2021 Compass except for the Sport and Freedom trims.

New/Unique Features

The biggest change between the 2020 Jeep Compass and the 2021 model is the standardization of advanced safety features on the 2021 Compass’s higher-end trims. Also exclusive to the 2021 lineup is the 80th Anniversary trim that is expected to remain exclusive to this model year even when the 2022 comes out. The 2021 models also saw the elimination of six-speed manual transmission on the lower end trims, alongside the removal of the High Altitude model.
